POLICE: Suspect arrested after driving with man on hood
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a man was arrested after he struck a man with a car, and then took off with him on the hood.
According to an arrest report, police were called to the corner of Arcade Avenue and 7th St. Rd. on a report of a reckless driver with a man on the hood of the car.
Police say the victim was notified by his bank that his debit card was being used at BP Gas Station on Berry and 7th Avenue. An arrest report states that once the victim arrived at the gas station, he confronted 22-year-old Tyler Vessels, and stood in front of his car while he called the police.
Police say Vessels then "took off in the vehicle striking listed victim, and projecting him onto the hood."
Vessels drove the car northbound on 7th street with the victim on the hood.
Police say Vessels "wantonly engaged in conduct that created a substantial risk of serious physical injury and possibly even death toward listed victim."
He was arrested just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and charged with first degree wanton endangerment.
