Keith Kaiser is at New Albany-Floyd County Schools for the first day of classes

August 1 is the first day of school for students at New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated Schools. Keith Kaiser stopped by three the schools to find out what students should expect.

Floyd Knobs Elementary School's first day is super-hero themed. Principal Elaine Murphy will be dressed up as Superwoman. She's want every student to have a super learning school year. Around 650 student attend Floyd Knobs Elementary.

Keith stopped by Floyd Central High School to see how teachers are handling a shorter summer break. The school district will only have eight weeks for summer and two weeks for fall, winter and spring breaks.

Keith is going by Scribner Middle School in New Albany as students show up for classes. The New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation became the first combined city-county school corporation in Indiana when they merged in 1956.
