Dish Network viewers lose WAVE-TV

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A contract dispute has pushed WAVE-TV off the air for Dish Network subscribers.  WAVE is one of 53 stations owned by Raycom that Dish is blacking out across the country.

They went dark at midnight.

It involves a dispute about retransmission fees.  Dish claims that Raycom is asking for retransmission payments to be quadrupled.

On social media, WAVE is telling viewers Raycom is only asking for a fraction of what channels like ESPN, History Channel, and HGTV receive each month.
