LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Campbellsville, Ky., arrest two men in connection with the "possible rape" of a 15-year-old girl.

The incident was reported Tuesday, police said.

Officers arrested 52-year-old David Lee Taylor Thursday afternoon when he surrendered at city police headquarters.  A warrant had been issued for Taylor on charges of rape, sodomy and unlawful transaction with a minor, Sgt. Shannon Wilson said.

Taylor was to be booked at the Taylor County Detention Center late Thursday afternoon.

Taylor appears on the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry as a "move in" from out of state.  The registry says Taylor had been convicted of the sodomy and sexual abuse of a 10-year-old child in New York state.  Taylor's address on the registry is Clem Haskins Blvd. in Campbellsville.  It says he also has lived on Washington Street in Elizabethtown.

Police earlier had arrested 48-year-old Joyce Sherrill of Campbellsville in connection with the crime.  Sherrill is charged with complicity to rape, complicity to sodomy, complicity to unlawful transaction with a minor and failure to report child or dependent neglect or abuse.

Sherrill was booked into the Taylor County Detention Center, Wilson said.
