LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- First it was the community, now the state is stepping up to help the Falls of the Ohio State Park.

Two weeks ago, the James Graham Brown Foundation awarded the Falls of the Ohio River Interpretive Center a $500,000 challenge grant to make improvements.

Today, Indiana's Budget Committee freed up $400,000 in state general fund monies for the project.

Those dollars were matched by local donations and James Graham Brown grant to cover the $1 million cost.
