LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person died after a two-vehicle accident Friday evening at Cane Run Road and Rockford Lane, Louisville Metro Police said.

The Coroner says 60-year-old Sandra Crabtree died this morning at University Hospital due to blunt force trauma injuries.

That person was the driver of a Chevy van which ran a traffic light.  The driver was ejected from the van and it landed on top of the driver, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers say witnesses claim the driver of the Chevy ran the light while traveling westbound on Rockford Lane and was struck by a Toyota Camry that was northbound on Cane Run Road.

The driver and passenger of the Toyota were also taken to University of Louisville Hospital with minor injuries.

Alcohol does not to appear to be a factor in the crash, police said, however, the driver who died was unrestrained.
