LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Peyton Siva has signed a contract with the Detroit Pistons.
The second-round draft pick posted a picture of the signing on his Instagram account, and University of Louisville coach Rick Pitino told ESPN that the team has agreed to keep Siva in the U.S.
Siva impressed team officials by averaging 7.8 points and six assists per game during summer league play, while turning the ball over only 1.5 times per game. His shooting was suspect, but the Pistons have seen enough to hang onto him.
The deal has not been announced by the team, and terms hasn't been disclosed, but reports are that it's a two-year deal with the first year guaranteed.
