LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The woman who was found dead in a bed at an apartment on Dixdale Avenue has been identified.
The coroner's office says she is 53-year-old Debra Ann Clark, a white female with no known address.
The official cause of death has not yet been released, but a deputy coroner did not deny information from an arrest report indicating that she died of blunt force trauma and strangulation.
On Tuesday morning, the man accused of her murder faced a judge for the first time.
54-year-old Joseph Duncan pleaded not guilty and will need $1 million to get out of jail.
A friend says he picked up Duncan and the Clark on Thursday, and brought them to his sister's apartment because the Clark was passed out. He also says she was bleeding, and when Duncan asked if she wanted to go to the hospital, Clark said no.
Clark was later found dead in a bed inside the apartment.
