Harrison county officials uncover new details in double homicide
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Harrison County officials close to the case in the teens accused of murdering a Harrison County couple say they have learned more information on how the murders were committed.
Officials say the teens stabbed the first victim, left the home, and then came back to steal more items, and then killed the second victim.
Harrison County Coroner Rusty Sizemore says that Austin Scott and Kevin "Drew" Schuler entered the home, and stabbed 70-year-old Gary Henderson 23 times.
Authorities say the teens left the house with guns, credit cards and prescription pills.
Sizemore says the teens later returned to the home to grab more items, and that's when they heard 57-year-old "Senie" Arnold cry out for her partner.
It was at that time that the coroner says the young men bludgeoned the woman to death.
The violent act is something that Henderson's daughter cannot fathom.
"I don't know why it was important for them to kill dad and Cenie, but I hope they never see the light of day again," said the victim's daughter Sue-Z Schmelz.
The Harrison County prosecutors office say murder and robbery charges are expected later in the day on Tuesday.
