LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested after police say he was using his cell phone for voyeuristic purposes.

It happened Wednesday around 1 p.m. at the Jeffersontown Kroger near the corner of Taylorsville Road and Hurstbourne Parkway.

Police say they were called to the scene after a witness reported seeing 27-year-old Ryan E. Watson using his cell phone to snap photos under a woman's dress.

By the time police arrived, Watson was running from the scene, being chased by the store manager, according to an arrest report. Police viewed store surveillance video of Watson, but were unable to find him.

Almost two hours later, police say they were notified that Watson was again seen on store surveillance video getting out of a car in the parking lot.

An officer who was in the parking lot approached Watson, and Watson allegedly "took a deep breath" and admitted that he had gone inside the store with the intention of "filming a lady's dress."

He also told police he threw the cell phone into a dumpster behind a nearby Pizza Hut and bought new clothes to disguise himself. He told police he threw his old clothes in another dumpster.

Watson was arrested and charged with voyeurism and two counts of tampering with physical evidence, according to police.
