LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- LMPD officials say an officer-involved shooting at a McDonald's in PRP is related to Monday's home invasion and murder at Crawford Crossing Apartments.
The shooting happened at the intersection of Terry Road and Greenwood Road around 6 p.m.
Officials say two detectives were approaching a suspect from Monday's incident in a Cadillac when shots were fired, just missing the officers. The detectives were unharmed, but the suspect and another person were shot and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
Police say they are still searching for two other suspects in connection with the death of Paul Barber, who was shot and killed outside of his apartment Monday.
21-year-old Shakahakeen Boyd has also been arrested in connection to that shooting and charged with murder, robbery and burglary. Police believe Boyd along with three other people forced their way into Barber's apartment Monday night demanding drugs, money and cell phones.
Terry Road and Greenwood Road reopened shortly after 10 p.m.
