Guns and Hoses flag football benefits Oldham Co. charities
BUCKNER, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police and firefighters squared off on the gridiron for the fourth annual Guns and Hoses Flag Football game.
The charity benefits the Oldham County Youth Football League and Hope Health Clinic of La Grange. This year, the firefighters donated half of the proceeds to Worthington firefighter Caleb Payne, a 26-year veteran who was diagnosed with colon cancer in January.
A pair of brothers, Robert and Chris Lane, faced off as opponents Saturday with a common goal: to give back to the Oldham County Youth Football League.
The brothers say the youth football league was always there for them growing up, and they hoped the proceeds would benefit the league.
The Hose won the game, but all for a good cause.
