LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The food truck phenomenon cooked up a special gift for needy children in Louisville.

Local food trucks and vendors set up shop at St. Joseph Children's Home to raise money for the abused and neglected children.

The Frankfort Avenue Business Association coordinated the event and invited the food trucks to participate.

9 food trucks and 40 booths participated in the event the fundraisers.

Organizers say 10 percent of the food truck sales will go directly to the children's home.
