LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was arrested after police say he destroyed property and set a fire his grandparents' home.

According to an arrest report, 18-year-old Thomas Smart got upset with his uncle during a telephone call, and after the call he went on what the grandfather described as a "rampage."

Police say Smart flipped furniture, punched holes in the walls, and set a fire in the kitchen while trying to burn a picture of his uncle.

The elderly grandparents told police they were in fear for their safety and well being during the "rampage."

Smart was arrested Aug. 16 and charged with second degree arson, wanton endangerment, and criminal mischief.
