Missing 14-year-old from Clarksville found safe

Posted: Updated:

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- A 14-year-old missing since Sunday was found early Wednesday morning, according to Clarksville Police dispatch.

Posters of Brianna Mahoney were put up after her disappearance. She had been last seen in downtown Louisville.

Clarksville Police asked for the public's help because they believed she was with a young man who is wanted by police.  There is no word on whether he was with her when she was found.

Clarksville Police say they get up to 75 reports of runaways a year, but tell us this wasn't your typical runaway case. So they made an appeal to the public.

Brianna turned off her phone, which her family says is unlike her.

Police believed she was with a 17-year-old who has an arrest warrant in Louisville for an unrelated charge. Her family says they may have met on Facebook.
