LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Family and friends are in mourning after Rick Corman -- known as "RJ" -- passed away Friday after battling cancer.

Corman was an entrepreneur and founder of R.J. Corman Railroad Group.

He was 58.

Kentucky Gov. Steve Besehar noted his passing on his Twitter page: "Our sincere thoughts & prayers are w/the Corman family, RJ was an innovative leader, generous philanthropist & spirited Kentuckian.

UK Basketball Coach John Calipari tweeted: "We've lost one of our best."

Funeral arrangements were still pending as of Friday afternoon.
