LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Hundreds of bikers turned out on Saturday to support the family of fallen Bardstown police officer Jason Ellis, just three months after he was ambushed and killed on his way home from work.

The Officer Jason Ellis Poker Run revved up at Joe Hill's Victory in Bardstown.

Victory hosted the event with the Kentucky Victory Owners group.

Event organizers say the response to the event was overwhelming.

All proceeds went to the Jason Ellis Memorial fund.

There have still been no arrests or suspects in his murder.

Officer Ellis will also be honored Sunday prior to the Bats games, which begins at 2:05 p.m.

His wife will be presented with a check for $40,000.

The money was raised in June by the River City Fraternal Order of Police.

Officer Ellis played rookie baseball with two Reds affiliates in 2003 and 2004.
