One man killed in fiery crash on I-265

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person died in a crash on Interstate 265 near Bardstown Road Sunday night.

Louisville Metro Police say the driver was killed, when his car became trapped under a semi and caught fire.

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m.  Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell says the car was exiting Bardstown road onto the Snyder westbound when it ran into a semi truck and got wedged underneath.

A passenger suffered minor injuries. The driver of the semi truck was not injured.

The victim has not been identified.
