Cordish given one-year extension on Center City development

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The company that runs Fourth Street Live is getting more time for another planned downtown development.

Business First reports that Cordish was given a one-year extension on its development agreement for Center City.

The project planned for the former Louisville Water company block would include a four-star hotel, 200 plush apartments, and a new grocery store.

City officials say Cordish has met its requirements under the agreement to submit plans and finalize financing before a September 30th deadline.  Cordish has said in the past that it hopes to start construction next year.
