LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested after police say he caused more than $20,000 worth of damage to a 4th Street Live! business.

According to an arrest report, the incident took place at Sully's Saloon on 4th Street Live! between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Aug. 23.

Police say 26-year-old Walter Karlen, who was then an employee of the establishment, unlawfully remained inside the building after hours and destroyed over $20,000 worth of property.

"Sully's was forced to close due to the damages and could only reopen later that day," police say.

Police say Karlen's actions were captured on surveillance video.

When a witness showed up at approximately 7:30 in the morning, police say Karlen was seen standing on overturned equipment. He left after the witness told him to get out, according to the arrest report.

Karlen later turned himself in to police. He is charged with criminal mischief.
