LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An LMPD detective has been indicted in connection with a shooting he was involved in last year.
Chauncey Carthan was working as a detective in narcotics and intelligence unit in September of 2012 when he got into a confrontation with a man at 24th and Chestnut. He ended up shooting the man in the thigh.
Carthan was not in uniform and was driving an unmarked car.
He is charged with wanton endangerment, DUI, and official misconduct. He remains on paid administrative leave.
