LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Friends and family of a couple who was brutally murdered in their home earlier this month came together at a popular family farm to remember their lives.
Those who attended a candle light vigil last night at Huber's Family Farm say they want to remember the lives of Gary Henderson and Senie Arnold. Henderson and Arnold were brutally attacked, stabbed and beaten to death earlier this month in their Harrison County home.
The candlelight vigil was held alongside a pony carousel that Gary Henderson built. Henderson gave pony rides at the restaurant for two decades. Those close to the family say the support was overwhelming.
Stephanie Riggle, Gary Henderson's daughter said "It's been amazing support in the community. I never realized how many people's lives that my dad touched and that Senie touched. and it is extremely heartwarming to know that so many people are supporting them and supporting us."
A permanent memorial was dedicated in the couple's honor alongside the carousel Henderson built.
On Aug. 30, 2013, the two teen suspects in the murder, Kevin Schuler and Austin Scott were in court. The two are scheduled to go to trial in November.
