MADISON, Ind. (WDRB) -- There was another explosion this morning at the old Milton-Madison Bridge.
The blast brought down a 400-foot section of the old bridge around 9:10 a.m. Residents on the Madison side of the river were asked to stay indoors from 8:30 a.m. until after the blast.
After today, there will only be more section to bring down. Drivers are currently using the new bridge, which is right next to the old one on temporary piers.
The final step comes later this year, when crews will slide the new bridge onto the renovated original piers.
