Louisville WWII veteran making progress on 900-mile bike journey

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A World War II veteran from Louisville is biking more than 900 miles to Siesta Key, Florida, has made it more than 350 miles so far.

We first told you about Bert Blevens a couple weeks ago.

He planned to ride his recumbent tricycle from Louisville, during a 21-day trip.

Blevens is 90 years old, and received the Silver Star and Purple Heart during WWII.

Blevens made the same trip at 80-years-old, and wanted to prove to himself that he could do it again.
