LMPD: Man critically hurt after I-64 hit and run

LOUISVILLE, Ky.  (WDRB) -- A man filling his stranded pickup truck with gas was struck and critically hurt along Interstate 64 Westbound, west of 9th Street in downtown Louisville Thursday night.

Metro police were searching for a "newer model" grey Kia Sorrento with body damage to the passenger side, including a missing side view mirror. The vehicle did not stop after it struck the man about 9:30 p.m., about a quarter-mile west of 9th Street, police said.

The victim's name was not immediately released. EMS took him to University Hospital for treatment, where police said he was in critical condition.

Police described the victim as a white male in his 30s. He was driving a Ford F-350.
