LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- LMPD says a chain reaction crash has shut down Interstate 64 westbound near the 20-22 mile marker at the Jefferson County line.
A police spokeswoman says about 11:45 Thursday morning a semi-tractor trailer rear-ended a Kentucky Dept. of Transportation truck. That truck rear-ended another DOT truck, which rear-ended a third DOT truck.
The semi then jackknifed and struck a pickup truck. The drivers of the DOT trucks went to the hospital with minor injuries. There's no word on the conditions of the semi driver or the driver of the pickup.
Traffic is being diverted on I-64 westbound at Simpsonville, and officials hope to have the interstate open by Thursday afternoon rush hour.
