LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman has been arrested after police say she tried to kill a neighbor.

According to an arrest warrant, the incident took place on Sept. 1.

Police say a woman who lived in a neighborhood near Village West Drive, by the corner of S. 9th St. and W. Chestnut St., got into an argument with 25-year-old Jaquila Moore's younger sister.

Moore and the victim were neighbors, according to court documents.

The victim left her home for about 30 minutes. When she came back, police say Moore and her sister attacked the woman. Moore allegedly stabbed her six times with a steak knife.

Two of the wounds, according to police, were in her abdomen and caused serious physical injury.

Moore allegedly told the victim that, "I told you I would kill for my sister!"

The victim was taken to University Hospital for treatment.

An arrest warrant was issued for Moore. She was taken into custody Thursday afternoon at the Louisville Hotel near the corner of 1st and Broadway.

She's charged with attempted murder.
