LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A bicyclist was struck by a car and killed on Preston Highway early Wednesday. The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Preston Highway and Antle Drive.
57-year-old Peter Ransome of Bullitt County was riding home from his job at a nearby fast food restaurant.
Metro Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley tells WDRB the bicyclist was hit by a man in his 20s who as driving a Mazda 3.
Ransome was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force injuries.
Metro Police will continue to investigate, but no charges have been filed against the driver of the Mazda.
