LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Lubrizol Advanced Materials plans to expand its Louisville operations, creating 25 jobs and investing more than $108 million.
The company makes lubricant additives for engine oils, industrial lubricants, additives for home care and personal care products, and other items.
The expansion will include the construction of a new facility at the company's Bells Lane location, which currently employs about 140 people.
Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear said in a news release, "For a company with locations all over the world, this expansion shows that Lubrizol values our state, our strategic location and our top quality workforce."
The state has given preliminary approval of tax incentives up to $1,220,000 to the company.
Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer said, "This illustrates the success we can all share as a result of a healthy local and regional economy."
