LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Fayette County and Lexington authorities are searching for a jail inmate who failed to return from work detail.
Officials said 38-year-old Robert Lee Eades did not return to the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government Division of Community Corrections after he was released on a court-ordered work pass on Friday.
Eades, who had been charged with assault, was released on a work pass at 9 a.m. and was scheduled to return at 2 p.m.
Authorities said that a warrant on an escape charge has been issued for Eades. He is described as a 5-foot tall, 130-pound white male.
Anyone with information on Eades' whereabouts should contact the Lexington Police Department.
