Louisville and Western Kentucky are favored to keep winning this week while UK and IU are underdogs.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Las Vegas never sleeps. Neither does Jeff Sagarin's computer formula.
That means the odds have already arrived for this week's college football games – as have Sagarin's updated computer power rankings. Here is a look at the four local college football teams for this week.
Western Kentucky is favored by four in an important Sun Belt conference game at Louisiana-Monroe Thursday night. The number opened at three.
Sagarin's numbers indicate it will continue to grow. He's got WKU by 6.24.
Louisville will not be favored by as many as the Cardinals were favored against Florida International, but U of L has moved to a 31-point favorite at Temple in Philadelphia Saturday.
Sagarin's numbers say that is a bit generous – only 24.27 is what the computer power formula says (including home-field advantage).
Kentucky will be a bigger underdog at South Carolina than the Wildcats were against Florida. If you take UK Saturday, you get three touchdowns. Sagarin says you should ask for more – 22.46.
And Indiana is currently a 3-point underdog at home for the visit by Penn State Saturday. That's about the same thing Sagarin's formula says – 3.5.
