LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A gas leak in Jackson County, Indiana forces nearby residents to evacuate.
A gas line ruptured as a house was being demolished on South Sugar Street in Brownstown.
That's just behind the Jackson County Courthouse.
Emergency crews evacuated residents within a three-block radius of the area, as well as the county's juvenile home.
The evacuation order was lifted around 1:30 Sunday afternoon.
Midwest Gas responded to the scene and resolved the issue around 3 p.m.
