LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Attorneys hope a request in court Wednesday morning will help them understand why a Sellersburg man pointed a loaded shotgun at the Clark County Courthouse.
As 63-year-old Henry Campbell faced a judge, his attorney and prosecutors agreed to a request for a mental evaluation and a drug test. Campbell's attorney Brad Jacobs said, "He had a stroke a few years ago -- so there's a physical problem, but no mental health problems leading up to this. There's no symptoms, nothing that predicted this in any way, which makes it that much scarier."
Police say Campbell surrendered peacefully Tuesday after being found with a shotgun and ammunition. He remains behind bars on a $250,000 cash bond.
Campbell's expected back in court Thursday to be formally charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, pointing a firearm, and criminal recklessness.
