LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Shively police say they are searching for a suspect in a shooting outside an apartment complex that left one person dead and another injured.

The shooting occurred outside the Chalet Village Apartments near Matheis Lane and Dixie Highway.

Reports of the fatal shooting came in around 8:45 p.m.

Officials say both victims were found in a white, parked car and were not residents of the apartment complex. They could not say what, if any, relationship they had.

The Coroner confirmed that 23-year-old Tony Grady was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple gun shot wounds.

A female was also injured and was transported to the hospital.

The female is in stable condition.

Det. Sgt. Josh Myers said the suspect took off running north toward Matheis Lane.

If you have any tips in this case, you are asked to call Shively Police at 448-6181 or Crimestoppers at 582-CLUE.

The coroner's office had not released the name of the person killed as of early Friday morning.  An autopsy was likely to take place later on Friday.
