LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More details have been released about the Indiana doctor charged in a case of road rage, in which video captured the Corydon man pulling a gun at another driver.
Records in North Carolina, where Perry Dobyns used to practice medicine, show he filled unauthorized prescriptions for oxycodone. He tested positive for the drug in 2008.
As a result, he voluntarily surrendered his medical license.
In Indiana, Dobyns has had several license issues.
A supervisor at the Branchville Correctional Facility where Dobyns worked as a doctor says he's been fired.
Charged with wanton endangerment, Dobyns faces five years behind bars, but that could change following an investigation.
