LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Jefferson County, Ind. Commissioners decided to move the public entrance to the courthouse in Madison because people were bypassing the metal detector and security desk.
The security checkpoint will be moved to the Main Street entrance. All other entryways will be locked.
The courthouse added security officers and metal detectors this summer.
The Sheriff's Department has arrested at least 10 people on drug charges and found visitors with guns and knives since those changes took effect.
