LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A local sub shop switches its cause from food to first responders today.
The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation donated more than $9,000 for equipment for Larue County EMS.
The new technology includes four iPads, and bluetooth monitor upgrades.
It will allow EMS workers to send patient information from the ambulance to hospitals before the patient gets there.
Firehouse Subs has donated $6.8 million to hometown heroes in 38 states and Puerto Rico.
More than $53,000 has gone to Kentucky.
