LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Another sure sign that college basketball is almost here: A long list of former local players performed during the NBA exhibition season Tuesday night.
Here are some highlights:
John Wall -- 16 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists in about 30 minutes for the Wizards. He's healthy and talking about taking Washington to the – gasp – playoffs.
Brandon Knight -- 4 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals in 20 minutes for the Bucks. Milwaukee acquired him from Detroit, and he's going to play.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist -- 3 points, 4 rebounds in 20 minutes for the Bobcats. He starts, but needs to shoot better than 1 for 6.
Jodie Meeks – 6 points, 1 rebound in 25 minutes while starting in Kobe Bryant's spot for the Lakers.
Josh Harrellson – 0 points, 2 rebounds in 11 minutes for the Pistons. Trying to make a nice check on somebody's bench.
Daniel Orton – 6 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks for Oklahoma City off the bench. Hopefully, he's finally healthy.
Earl Clark – 3 points, 3 rebounds in his new home, starting at power forward in Cleveland, where he played 16 minutes. They've expecting big things in Cleveland.
Peyton Siva – DNP (injured calf) for the Pistons. Needs to get healthy to show what he can do.
Cody Zeller – 9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals in 23 minutes for the Bobcats. Solid debut – except for 4 turnovers.
Jeremy Evans – 12 points, 13 rebounds in 24 minutes for the Jazz. If he can do that for 82 games …
Kenneth Faried – 8 points, 10 boards in only 14 minutes for the Nuggets. The essential Kenneth Faried collection.
