Man dies after early morning car crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person is dead hours after a single car crash.  Police say at around 4:30 a.m., a man  in a white Chevy Impala drove off of the right side of the roadway at I-264 to Poplar Level Road.

Police say the car went down the hill side, struck a tree and caught fire.  Louisville Fire officials put out the blaze and EMS workers transported the man to University Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The coroner identified the driver as 34-year-old Dwayne Marshall from Simponsville, Ky. 

LMPD's traffic Unit is investigating the collision.
