Alice Lloyd College gets $1M donation

PIPPA PASSES, Ky. (AP) -- Alice Lloyd College is the recipient of a $1 million donation.

According to WYMT-TV, the money was donated by local philanthropist Judy Perry and will be used to fund four presidential scholarships at the college in Pippa Passes, Ky.

Coverage of the funds includes tuition, room and board.

Alice Lloyd College President Joe Stepp says the money will help more students in Eastern Kentucky be successful.

Stepp says 83 percent of Alice Lloyd graduates return to the area to work.
