Uspiritus job fair to hire 40 workers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Uspiritus, which provides care for at-risk youth, will hold a job fair on Wednesday, Oct. 16.  It's looking to hire 40 new youth care workers.

"Our youth care workers are the lifeblood of Uspiritus," said Mary-Kate O'Leary, president/CEO of Uspiritus in a news release. "Each day these staff provide help, healing and hope to children who have had inconsistency in their lives."

WHAT:  Uspiritus Job Fair to hire 40 youth care workers. Human resources and experienced youth care staff will be on hand to answer prospective employees' questions and conduct initial screening interviews. Positions are for 2nd and 3rd shift. Salaries begin at $10.50 or $11 for those with a college degree and advancement eligibility in 6 months.

WHO:  Job seekers age 21 and up with a passion for helping others succeed and grow. Applicants must have the following abilities: to work as a team member; implement our nationally recognized evidence-based care model; function as a role model while healing our youth and preparing them for college, work and life. Must be able to respond appropriately to the emotional and physical needs of adolescents within a structured group setting, which may include verbal and safe crisis intervention. Bachelor's degree and experience in working with adolescents preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.  Those unable to attend may apply at
