LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It looks as if the new White Castle in St. Matthews could be open in time for Thanksgiving.
The KFC that once stood at Shelbyville Road across from Trinity High School was demolished Monday to make way for the new White Castle.
Our partners at Business First report that it could open in just a few weeks. The restaurant was supposed to open several months ago, but a wrecking permit was not obtained until last week.
White Castle had a restaurant in St. Matthews for more than 60 years, but that one closed in 2002, making way for the headquarters of Eclipse Bank.
