LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Audubon Park's city council members have voted to remove one of their peers, claiming he violated eight city statutes.
Council member Al Huber, who is accused of engaging in misconduct by the council, was not present during Tuesday's meeting, nor was the mayor.
Once things settled down, the council got down to business.
Council members say Huber used vulgar words and gestures while addressing a resident at a public meeting.
They also claim Huber made an accusation that councilman Cary Campbell engaged in activities that could get him disbarred without any evidence to back it up.
This comes after months of city leaders questioning the mayor's proposed budget - as they tried to meet a $160,000 budget shortfall.
With the exception of Mayor Mike Scalise and Councilman Huber, the majority of the council has been in office for just a few months.
