LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky's retail food prices jumped almost six percent during the third quarter, according to the latest Marketbasket Survey by the Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation.
The survey finds the total cost of 40 basic grocery items was $119. That's almost $7 more than just a few months ago, and the highest total price recorded in the survey's four-decade history.
Experts say the survey may imply that Kentucky is finally catching up to national retail food price trends.
