LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A school bus was involved in a crash Friday morning in southern Jefferson County.
It happened around 7:30 a.m. at Bardstown Road and Oakland Hills Trail. That's when the school bus and a pickup truck collided.
JCPS spokesman Ben Jackey tells us that the students were on a bus from Fisher Buses, a charter and rental service for buses.
A spokesperson from St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic School has confirmed that 11 of its students were on Fishers Bus #906, but no students were reported injured after being checked by EMS.
Units from Fern Creek and Mount Washington responded to the scene to help rescue the driver of the pickup truck who was trapped inside. He was taken to a hospital, but we do not yet know the extent of his injuries.
We have a crew on the way and we'll bring you more information as soon as it's available.
