LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Breckinridge Metro High School student was arrested Thursday afternoon after he assaulted a staff member.
According to an arrest report, the incident took place shortly after 12:00 p.m.
Police say 18-year-old Terrell Q. Gray was in a classroom when he "became angry" and threw papers at a teacher. The assistant principal was walking by and saw what was happening, according to the arrest report, and asked Gray to pick the papers up.
Gray allegedly responded by telling the assistant principal to stop yelling.
At that point, a staff member began escorting Gray out of the room. That's when, police say, Gray balled his fist and swung at the staff member. He was placed on the floor, and police say that at this point, he was "out of control, continuing to yell."
He was arrested and charged with third degree assault, according to the arrest report.
