LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they discovered a stolen car with a suspect asleep inside, keys in the ignition, and the engine running.

A police report says officers were checking out a "suspicious person" sitting in a car in the 3200 block of Schneiter Avenue, west of Taylor Boulevard.

Police confirmed that the car was stolen.  The police report says 40-year-old Gary Lamont Long was in the car and told police the car wasn't his, and that he didn't know who it belonged to.

Long was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.

After his arrest, another police report indicates that he was served a warrant on charges of escape, theft, and tampering with a prisoner monitoring device.
