LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A student is recovering after being hit by a car in front of New Albany High School just after 7:30 this morning.

Police say the student had just been dropped off and was crossing the street in the crosswalk when she was hit. The driver apparently did not see her.

Police tell us the student was conscious when she was taken to the hospital.

We're told she had head and facial injuries, but is expected to be OK.
