Jury selection begins in Dejuan Hammond case
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jury selection began on Tuesday for the man accused of killing a witness in his brother's murder trial. Dejuan Hammond is charged with the murder of Troya Sheckles.
She was gunned down in March 2009 in broad daylight in Shelby Park. Sheckles was scheduled to testify in the murder trial of Hammond's brother, Lloyd Hammond.
Earlier this year, Steven Pettway was found guilty of Sheckles' murder and sentenced to 55 years in prison.
