South Fourth Street celebrates the Day of the Dead

The Louisville Downtown Development Corporation, SoFo district, and the University of Louisville's Latin American and Latino Studies (LALS) Program invite you to the South Fourth Street Day of the Dead Celebration.

The event happens on Friday, November 1st 5:30-9:00 p.m. between the Seelbach and Brown Hotels in conjunction with the First Friday Trolley Hop.

The University of Louisville LALS Program will install an altar to Martin Luther King Jr. and community leaders.

Plus there will be children's activities, which include face painting, sugar skull decorating, paper flower making, and more.

Come dressed as your favorite Frida Kahlo (considered one of Mexico's greatest artists) or skeleton.

Enjoy live music, flamenco dancing, public altars.

Sol Aztecas will be offering food and drink!

Some of the participating SoFo district businesses include: Art Eatables, Celebrations, Craft(s) Gallery, Gifthorse, Block Party, Les Filles Louisville, Regalo.
